In the late 70's, Bill Cameron, the founder of "Robbie Burns Liquor" had tried to make a cream liqueur to rival the Irish. Having to put his attempts on hold, he imported an Australian product called 'Conti-Cream', however the dream for a home grown liqueur remained....
20 years later, in 2000, his son Neil Cameron developed a recipe from scratch - succeeding in creating a fresh cream based New Zealand Cream Liqueur.
For many years these liqueurs were sold throughout the South Island with a small but loyal following enjoying distinctive flavours created over years.
Coming to the present, this family mission of bringing a New Zealand challenge to Irish Cream Liqueurs has been taken up by Bill's Grandson, William, whom developed his own recipe inspired by the legacy of Bill and Neil.
Through extensive trial and error - and in-store sampling, we found the flavour of Butterscotch to be the perfect match, doing justice to our Alpine vision. Inspired by New Zealand Butterscotch toffee, our product is creamy, buttery and balanced with a rich caramel that we feel that does justice to Bill's original vision.
It is from this journey our family has created Remarkable Cream - now in the hands of the third generation, Bill's grandson, William, who has the privilege of now sharing it with you.
Due to the challenging times over the past two years, our production is temporarily based in Auckland - to be back South again soon..
